Who Is x7SEO

Published by seo77

Thank you for visiting x7SEO.com. My name is Eric Dytzel and this blog is about understanding the methodology and process of SEO and the implementation of best practices to ensure your search engine optimization campaigns are successful.

A little info about x7SEO.com: In April of 2007 I contacted an SEO firm to do search engine optimization work on one of my websites. After a consultation I was given a project fee quote of $12,000 for a period of six months and continued maintenance fee’s for subsequent months. The closer the time came to hand over the first installment of this payment the worse I felt about it. I had checked this company out thoroughly and they are a well known SEO firm who had actually done work for a competitor of mine and was very successful. Inside however, I just couldn’t force myself to hand over that amount of money. I told myself that my time and money would be better spent learning this SEO process myself.

As a result the predecessor blog to this one, NoviceSEO.com was born. NoviceSEO.com was a place where I documented all of my SEO learning and efforts with regards to the www.TruckerHub.com website. TruckerHub.com is a trucking industry portal site in a very competitive online industry. Over the next 18 months I was able to take that website and others that I managed and move them up the search engines, especially Google. (as a side note: NoviceSEO.com was completely blown away by an error on my part and ufortunately all the data lost)

One very successful part of this project was seeing TruckerHub.com go from 600 to 14 on Google in a period of 100 days. I made a video explaining the tools and techniques I used to obtain this result which was subsequently picked up by www.WebProNews.com and as a result I was interviewed along with John Chow of JohnChow.com and Aaron Wall of SEOBook.com about SEO and the interview was shown on www.WebProNews.com.

As a result of this and other successful SEO campaigns I have decided to create this blog to share what I have learned about the SEO process and understanding the methodology of a successful search engine optimization project.
